I'm not quite sure what the name of this restaurant is... please refer to the photo. This new (opened April 2nd 2014) Yokosuka sushi-go-round is right across from the Daiei Mall (route 16, near main base). The sushi was tasty, and there were options for the non-seafood eater, like French fries, noodles and salads.
Ordering could be tricky for a newbie to a Japanese sushi-go-round. So here are my tips. Plates that aren't on bowls are a free for all. It's not free, of course. It cost between 100Y - 250Y, depending on the order. But you may take these plates directly from the conveyor belt if it strikes your fancy.

The plates above are for anyone.
Your table will have this ordering device. You may order your drinks (beer, sake, sochu, sodas) and any food that you particularly want from this iPad-looking device. As I mentioned, you're not limited to seafood. Notice the blue "22" on our "iPad." That will color coordinate your orders that will travel towards you. About 30 seconds before your order approaches on the go-round, you will hear a ding which alerts you that your order is on its way, literally. Ensure it matches your color and the description of the food you (think) you ordered, and then take it off the conveyor belt. See the photo below. Also, notice that the plate is on a raised "bowl" of sorts. Only plates directly placed on the conveyor belt are up for grabs.
Now, none of us ordered octopus, so this didn't belong to us. Yes, it has the blue the label, but nothing alerted us that we had a completed order on the way, so this blue order belonged to another diner.
When you are ready to leave, you simply stack your plates and a server will tally the plates (which hold a different cost based on color), hand you a bill, and you pay at the front.
This was a very reasonable night out. Four adults ate and drank for about 6000Y. It would be a fun place to take out-of-town guests as they will enjoy the atmosphere and will find you to be a pro at eating at sushi-go-rounds. While these joints are now popping up in the U.S.A, your guest will be impressed that you are able to maneuver this place with confidence and ease. I'd say this is a place to go for the atmosphere. If you want amazing sushi, head to the big cities.
